Despite walking in the Padres' first run with bases loaded, Casparius managed to escape further damage by inducing a flyout from Fernando Tatis Jr. Roberts indicated that Casparius could be stretched out to start games as the Dodgers cope with their thin rotation, with Casparius currently able to pitch roughly three innings or 45 pitches per outing.
