Brigade 313 is an Al-Qaeda-linked militant coalition operating in Pakistan, reportedly validated by Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. The group is composed of jihadists, including defectors from the Pakistani military and intelligence services. It functions as a coalition rather than a single organization and serves as Al-Qaeda's military arm in the region. The Pakistani Ministry of Interior banned Brigade 313 in 2013, a decade after Al-Qaeda was proscribed in 2003. Since its designation, approximately 1,100 operatives have been killed and over 600 handed over to the United States. The group has come under renewed scrutiny following comments by a Pakistani senator during a Sky News interview.
