The Indian Army contingent arrived in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, to participate in the multinational military exercise Khaan Quest scheduled from June 14 to 28, 2025. Concurrently, the 17th edition of the India-Mongolia joint military exercise Nomadic Elephant concluded in Ulaanbaatar. Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh presided over the closing ceremony of Nomadic Elephant as the Guest of Honour. He was accompanied by Lieutenant General Pushpendra Singh, Director General of Operational Logistics and Strategic Movement, and Brigadier General Baatar Baljid, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of Mongolia. The Ministry of Defence described both Nomadic Elephant and Khaan Quest exercises as significant milestones in India's defence diplomacy.
