Union Home Minister Amit Shah highlighted the progress made in the northeastern state of Tripura during a recent virtual address. He noted that three pacts with outlawed groups over the past decade have contributed to peace in the region. Shah asserted that the BJP-led coalition has achieved more in the last seven years than the Congress and communist parties did over several decades. He emphasized that Tripura has transitioned from being landlocked to 'land-linked' under BJP governance, with development taking center stage. Concurrently, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia inaugurated the North East Trade and Investment Roadshow in Chennai, inviting local businessmen to invest in the region, which he described as the largest investment opportunity in India. Scindia remarked that the northeastern states have become a priority for the government, with significant improvements in infrastructure, including rail, road, and air services, over the last ten years.
