Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, visited forward positions along the Line of Control (LoC) on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha to celebrate the festival with frontline troops. Upon arrival at the LoC, he was received by the Commander Rawalpindi Corps. The visit began with Eid prayers, during which special supplications were made for Pakistan's peace, stability, and prosperity, as well as for the martyrs (Shuhada) who sacrificed their lives in defense of the nation. During his interaction with officers and soldiers, Munir extended Eid greetings to the people of Pakistan and commended the troops' dedication, professional excellence, and commitment to frontline service. He praised the formation's performance during operations such as Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, and paid tribute to the martyrs and Ghazis. Munir was briefed at the LoC regarding the destruction of Indian posts during recent operations. He expressed appreciation for the troops' morale, operational readiness, and vigilance in responding to Indian ceasefire violations, and reaffirmed his confidence in the armed forces' preparedness to deter and defeat any aggression. The Army Chief reiterated Pakistan's principled stance on the Kashmir issue, vowing unyielding support for the Kashmiri people and emphasizing the need for resolving the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of its people and relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
