The White House said no military option has been ruled out—including the use of a tactical nuclear weapon—as President Donald Trump weighs whether to order strikes on Iran’s heavily fortified Fordow uranium-enrichment site, according to Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich. The comment came after The Guardian reported that U.S. defense officials doubt conventional ‘bunker-buster’ bombs can reliably destroy the underground complex and claimed the president was not considering nuclear ordnance. A senior administration official told Fox News that the Guardian account was inaccurate and that the military is confident a 30,000-lb GBU-57 bomb could eliminate Fordow, but emphasized that "none of the options are off the table." Trump has given himself until July 3 to decide, officials said, adding that diplomacy remains the preferred path as European foreign ministers prepare to meet Iranian counterparts in Geneva on Friday. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt underscored what the administration views as the urgency of the matter, asserting that Iran already possesses all components needed to assemble a nuclear weapon within weeks should its leadership decide to move ahead. She also rejected separate media claims about internal divisions on the president’s security team, saying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard remain central advisers.
