Tina Charles Leads Sun Past Storm 93-83 to End 10-Game Slide

The Connecticut Sun stunned the Seattle Storm 93-83 on Wednesday in Uncasville, snapping a 10-game losing streak and earning just their third win of the season. Veteran center Tina Charles powered the victory with a season-high 29 points and 11 rebounds, matching Alyssa Thomas for the most double-doubles (82) in franchise history. Connecticut erased an eight-point deficit entering the fourth quarter and seized its first lead on a Charles jumper with 5:36 remaining, then strung together an 11-0 run to put the game away. The Sun had opened the afternoon as 17-point betting underdogs. Rookie guard Jacy Sheldon added 16 points, Bria Hartley scored 15, and Saniya Rivers contributed all 11 of her points in a decisive third-quarter burst.
