Indian military officials, including General GD Bakshi, have recommended that Greece consider purchasing the BrahMos supersonic missile, highlighting India’s potential role in arming Greece similarly to how Turkey supports Pakistan. The strategic ties between India and Greece extend to Cyprus, where India’s military leadership previously led a UN peacekeeping mission and has supported UN Security Council resolutions calling for Turkish troop withdrawal.
