The $833 million I-10 Broadway Curve Project in Phoenix has been completed after four years of construction. The project widened 11 miles of Interstate 10 from US 60 to the Sky Harbor area, adding more travel and high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes. A key feature of the improvement is the addition of collector-distributor roads designed to separate traffic entering and exiting the freeway, enhancing traffic flow and safety. The project was funded through Arizona's Proposition 400 and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Throughout the construction period, several temporary lane closures and full freeway closures occurred, including night closures on State Route 14 near Palmdale and Lancaster for paving and guardrail work, as well as temporary traffic pattern changes on other state routes. The Arizona Department of Transportation and local officials expressed gratitude for public patience during the extensive work.
