A new Echelon Insights survey of likely voters conducted July 10–14 finds Republicans leading Democrats by one point, 48% to 47%, on the generic congressional ballot ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. When respondents were offered a third-option aligned with Elon Musk’s proposed “America Party,” overall support shifted: Democrats led with 45%, Republicans slipped to 41% and the hypothetical party drew 5%. The inclusion of the new party would turn the GOP’s one-point edge into a four-point Democratic advantage, according to the poll.
