Spain Allocates 200 Million Euros for Child Poverty, 3 Billion Energy Fund, 1,000 Euro Child Payment, and 200 Euro Monthly Support

The Spanish government has allocated 200 million euros to address child poverty and support vulnerable families, with 198.7 million euros earmarked for regional governments to cover basic needs such as food and hygiene. Additionally, a new decree on energy bills includes a 3 billion euro fund, half of which will finance bonuses for eight million households. Measures also include a one-time payment of 1,000 euros per child born or adopted from January 1, 2025, distributed by the Italian social security agency INPS. Furthermore, families with children may receive a monthly payment of 200 euros for up to 18 years, subject to eligibility criteria. Other provisions in the decree cover a 200 euro electricity bonus and regulations concerning company cars.
