Ukrainian entrepreneurs paid 10 billion PLN in taxes in Poland in 2022, which is approximately the same amount that Poland spent on weapons given to Ukraine. Ukraine's Prime Minister, Denys Shmyhal, stated that Ukraine will require budget support of about $42 billion this year and next year. Shmyhal also mentioned that Ukraine is facing a $42 billion budget deficit in 2024 and will need economic assistance to make up for it. There are concerns about the large amount of funding requested by Ukraine, with some questioning if they believe the US will run out of money.
