Switzerland, UK, and US Manufacturing Sectors Contract in October; US Construction Spending Rises 0.4%

The manufacturing sector in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States showed signs of contraction in October, according to the latest PMI data. Switzerland's PMI came in at 40.6, below the expected 45.0. The UK's PMI was 44.8, lower than the forecasted 45.2. The US ISM Manufacturing PMI dropped to 46.7, missing the estimate of 49.0. In contrast, the US Manufacturing PMI remained steady at 50.0. Additionally, US Construction Spending increased by 0.4% in September.
