In 2020, Nvidia granted an average of $73,000 in stock-based compensation per employee, leading to an average potential earnings of approximately $2.7 million for those who joined late that year and held their restricted stock units (RSUs). This year alone, employees are on track to earn around $680,000 in stock compensation. A recent survey indicated that about 76% of Nvidia's workforce, totaling around 30,000 employees, reported being millionaires, with 36% of them having a net worth exceeding $20 million. Furthermore, it is estimated that around 20-40% of Nvidia employees could afford to apply for a green card through the EB-5 investment program due to their substantial equity holdings.
