A merchant vessel off the coast of Yemen was targeted with three missiles approximately 54 nautical miles southwest of Hodeidah, according to British security firm Ambrey. The vessel issued a distress call via VHF Channel 16, reporting damage to the cargo hold and that it was taking on water and tilted to one side. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) confirmed the vessel was hit by missiles and sustained damage, but the crew is reported safe and the vessel is proceeding to its next port. The incident occurred north of the Bab El Mandab strait.
