Goldman Sachs, under CEO David Solomon, pledged to increase the number of women in senior ranks, a goal that remains unmet as investigations reveal about two-thirds of the women who were partners in 2018 have either left the firm or lost their title, compared to less than half of men. Notably, Stephanie Cohen, a senior executive, is leaving Goldman Sachs for a Chief Strategy Officer role at Cloudflare. Reports suggest that the culture at Goldman Sachs, including negative comments from powerful executive Marc Nachmann, may be contributing to the departure of top female talent.

When Goldman’s CEO took over, he made increasing women in the top ranks a priority. A @WSJ investigation found it hasn’t worked out. About 2/3 of the women who were partners in 2018 have left or lost the title. @AAndriotis @anfuller https://t.co/ArWHAvkXTi

When I was in college back in the 1980s I remember a woman executive advising my friends and me to avoid occupations that are majority women, because those jobs just pay less than male-oriented fields like finance. She didn't mention men also get paid more for "women's jobs." https://t.co/HGA3KsM5WZ
