The President of the European Commission, Ursula, has proposed a new initiative called the 'European Democracy Shield' aimed at detecting and removing online content from alleged enemies of democracies. This proposal has sparked controversy, with critics arguing that it equates to censorship and suppression of free speech. They claim that the initiative will prevent EU citizens from voicing their opinions, labeling dissenting views as 'Russian misinformation'. The debate highlights the tension between efforts to protect democratic values and concerns over potential overreach and infringement on individual freedoms. Critics also refer to the Brussels Bureaucracy as being part of this initiative.
The "European Democracy Shield" will primarily shield people from voicing their opinions or using their votes. In an almost literal Orwellian sense, whenever members of the Brussels Bureaucracy or the Uniparty System speak of "defending democracy" they mean the exact opposite. https://t.co/T8vbg2zUa9
- So dear EU citizens, what do you think of Ursula's European Democracy Shield? - We can't complain - So it's not too bad? - No, you don't get it, we literally can't complain, it's classified as "Russian misinformation" now. https://t.co/fpmRBzpHHK
Basically the President of the European Commission is proposing that Europe censor people or information they don’t like to "protect democracy" because democracy is only protected when you control what the population is allowed to see, hear and think. Sounds super democratic! https://t.co/2JagPvUmUu

Can someone please explain to me what “protecting democracy” means? Apparently it’s one of the most important issues to democrats, so they’re supporting Joe Biden. How is voting for the guy who’s weaponizing the DOJ protecting democracy?
