A Reuters poll indicates that the European Central Bank (ECB) is expected to cut its deposit rate twice more this year, in September and December. This view is supported by 64 out of 81 economists surveyed, an increase from 41 out of 66 in a May poll. However, 36 out of 41 economists also noted that the risks are skewed towards fewer rate cuts this year rather than more.
