Coinbase secures MPI license from MAS, expanding crypto services in Singapore

Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has obtained a Major Payment Institution (MPI) license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), allowing it to expand its digital payment token services to individuals and financial institutions in Singapore. This license will enhance Coinbase's services and enable it to operate in one of Asia's largest crypto hubs. The license was granted by MAS, Singapore's central bank, and will allow Coinbase to offer a wide range of digital payment services to retail and institutional customers in the country. Coinbase is the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange and this license will further its global expansion efforts.
