A new study by USC's Annenberg Inclusion Initiative reveals that Hispanic/Latino representation in Hollywood has not improved in 16 years, both in front of and behind the camera. The study highlights the lack of prominent roles for the community, with only five lead roles in the top-grossing films over 16 years being played by Latina actors aged 45 or older. The study also calls for more culturally specific Asian representation and storytelling that transcends race.
