Jada Bell claimed that Le'Veon Bell sexually assaulted her for a decade starting when she was six or seven years old, continuing through his time at Michigan State. The lawsuit was filed in Franklin County, Ohio. Le'Veon Bell's attorney, Thomas W. Shaffer, stated that his client was never served with legal documents and plans to seek a reversal of the judgment, asserting violations of Bell's Fifth Amendment rights. In another development, a woman who accused former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson of rape in a limousine in 1991 has dropped her $5 million lawsuit against him. The case, filed in 2023, was discontinued with prejudice, and Tyson's attorney expressed satisfaction with the outcome, noting no settlement was made.
