Murilo Huff Gains Provisional Custody of Son Léo Amid Dispute With Dona Ruth Over Negligence and Inheritance

Murilo Huff, father of Léo, the five-year-old son he had with late singer Marília Mendonça, has initiated a legal battle seeking unilateral custody of the child, currently cared for by Dona Ruth Moreira, Marília's mother. Huff stated that his request aims to be more present in his son's life and denied intentions of distancing Léo from his maternal family. He cited undisclosed reasons and alleged negligence by Dona Ruth, including an incident where Léo, who has diabetes, was reportedly neglected and required emergency care provided by Huff. Dona Ruth responded by accusing Huff of not paying child support and expressed emotional distress over losing custody, describing the situation as "cruel" for the child and family.

The dispute also involves concerns over the management of Léo's inheritance, estimated at around R$500 million, which has been a point of contention between Huff and the maternal family.
