Matthew Wilder has been announced as the director for a biopic about Joan Didion, with sales set to launch at the American Film Market (AFM). Protagonist Pictures, led by Janina Vilsmaier, will be handling sales for the project. In other film news, FilmForumNYC will be screening a series of films from the 1950s, including works by Howard Hawks, Elia Kazan, and Stanley Donen. The Moving Image Museum in New York will be showing 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' and two films by Maren Ade on 35mm. Additionally, a film adaptation of 'The Incredible Shrinking Man' starring Jean Dujardin will be presented at AFM by Patrick Wachsberger's Picture Perfect.
