Pop star Katy Perry and actor Orlando Bloom have ended their nearly decade-long relationship and cancelled their six-year engagement, their representatives confirmed in a joint statement on 3 July. The statement said the couple “have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting” their four-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, stressing that “their shared priority is—and always will be—raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”

Speculation about a split intensified in late June after Bloom attended Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding in Venice without Perry and the singer appeared tearful during the Australian leg of her “Lifetimes” tour. Outlets including People, TMZ and Us Weekly reported that the pair had been living apart as Perry toured and that tensions had grown over recent months.

Perry and Bloom met at a Golden Globes after-party in 2016, briefly separated in 2017, and became engaged on Valentine’s Day 2019 during a helicopter flight. They welcomed Daisy in August 2020 but never set a wedding date. Both intend to remain in Montecito, California, as they share parenting duties; Bloom also has a 14-year-old son, Flynn, from his previous marriage to model Miranda Kerr.
