Honduran Immigrant Granted Bond, Charges Dropped in Unusual Attempted Abduction of Two-Year-Old at Georgia Walmart

Charges have been dropped against a Honduran immigrant who was accused of attempting to abduct a young child at a Walmart store in Georgia. The man, who had been detained for nearly a year, was initially accused of trying to kidnap a two-year-old boy. He was held in jail for more than six weeks before being granted bond in early April. Prosecutors described the case as "unusual." Video footage related to the incident was made public, showing the man had gone to Walmart to purchase medication. Following the dropping of charges, the man was released from custody.
