The creator of the TV show "Euphoria," Sam Levinson, has opened up about his efforts to help actor Angus Cloud get sober. Levinson revealed that he could sense that Cloud didn't want sobriety as much as others wanted it for him. He also shared that Cloud's character was initially going to be killed off in Season 1 but was kept on the show because Levinson loved him so much and was afraid of what Cloud would do if he wasn't part of the show. Levinson staged interventions for Cloud and sent him to rehab twice before the actor's death at the age of 25.

Zendaya, who stars in "Euphoria," and Levinson both remembered Cloud's spirit and struggles, with Zendaya expressing gratitude for experiencing the beautiful parts of him. Levinson knew that Cloud wasn't doing well before the production of the show's second season and asked him to be sober so that he could rely on him.
