Daylight Saving Time has ended, causing frustration and debate among people. Some dislike the early darkness, while others appreciate the extra daylight in the morning. There are calls to eliminate Daylight Saving Time altogether and switch to permanent daylight savings. The debate also touches on the need for more flexible time zones and the potential for artificial general intelligence (AGI) to be developed before Daylight Saving Time is abolished. Doctors have called for the elimination of Daylight Saving Time.
The daylight savings debate really reveals who is getting up at 530am to do their cardio and who isn’t. I appreciate the extra sub in the morning and don’t really care about the evening as much. It’s a trade I’m willing to make. For my kids too at school.
Can confidently say that it should not be dark at this hour, and we should be an hour ahead all year long
We should actually switch to permanent daylight savings (sun sets later). Sure, it's not a crazy majority, but it's the most popular preference. Sticking with the current system is just an arbitrary attachment to a faulty default. Majority of people want a change. https://t.co/smsPBl27xP
Anyone else ready for bed at 6:30pm with the time change?
Daylight savings turn me into go to bed at 8pm and wake up at 4am person this is criminal
Because it gets pitch black at 5pm now https://t.co/ceBl4r2X0O
Do we even need daylight savings time if we're all on the internet all day anyway? https://t.co/IZ9Qk9K5YQ
I know I’m officially old because I now appreciate it being light so much earlier as opposed to being distraught over it getting dark so much sooner under DST.

At this point I think it is pretty clear that we will most likely get AGI before we get rid of daylight savings time.
We need to do more change daylight savings. We need completely longitudinal time zones, finely graded, so that “Noon” is always when the sun is directly overhead the observer.
I want to say this gently, because even many of my friends are erring on this: We did not just enter Daylight Saving Time. We exited it. When you're angry about the clock change that makes it dark so early, you are not mad at Daylight Saving Time. You are mad at standard time
"I hate letting go of daylight saving time ... because, as a general rule, I cannot stand Morning People," @RadioFreeTom writes. "I do not like to cede even one minute to those chipper and virtuous larks." https://t.co/uOJsaCoj7k
Dark at 6 pm? We are so back.
