Michael Saylor's investment firm, Strategy, has continued its aggressive accumulation of Bitcoin in 2025, significantly expanding its holdings. On June 15, 2025, Strategy held 592,100 BTC acquired at an average price of approximately $70,666 per coin, with a total cost basis of about $41.84 billion and a year-to-date (YTD) Bitcoin yield of 19.1%. Between June 16 and June 22, the firm acquired an additional 245 BTC for roughly $26 million at an average price of $105,856 per Bitcoin, raising total holdings to 592,345 BTC. Subsequently, from June 23 to June 29, Strategy purchased 4,980 BTC for $531.9 million at an average price of $106,801 per coin, increasing its total Bitcoin holdings to 597,325 BTC with a cost basis of approximately $42.4 billion and a YTD yield of 19.7%.
The current market value of these holdings is estimated at over $64 billion. Strategy's Bitcoin accumulation represents about 2.82% of the total Bitcoin supply. Saylor has expressed bullish long-term price targets for Bitcoin, predicting it will reach $21 million per coin by 2046 and suggesting that if Wall Street allocates 10% of portfolios to Bitcoin, the price could surge to $1 million per coin. He also indicated plans to continue purchasing billions of dollars worth of Bitcoin, aiming to push Strategy's holdings beyond 600,000 BTC. The firm's Bitcoin acquisition strategy has generated an expected unrealized profit of approximately $14 billion in the second quarter of 2025, positioning Strategy alongside major Wall Street players in profitability. Additionally, Strategy has tapped the fixed income market to raise $640 million to fund Bitcoin purchases over three months.
