Circle, the issuer of the second largest stablecoin by capitalization, USD Coin (USDC), has partnered with Tokyo-based financial services company SBI Holdings to boost the circulation of USDC in Japan. The collaboration aims to expand USDC adoption via Maple's Secured Lending pool and has also seen Circle moving its native USDC offering to Noble mainnet, bringing the stablecoin to Cosmos. Additionally, SBI Holdings has teamed up with Circle to circulate USDC in Japan and collaborate on the world's first cross-border repo with a natively-issued digital bond on a public blockchain, executed by SBI, UBS, and DBS Bank as part of MAS_sg's ProjectGuardian initiative.
