Circle Launches USD Coin on Polygon and Expands EURC Stablecoin to Stellar Network, Boosting Remittance and Cross-Border Payments

Circle, a stablecoin issuer, has launched its stablecoin USD Coin (USDC) on Ethereum's layer-2 solution, Polygon. Additionally, Circle has expanded its Euro-pegged stablecoin, EURC, to the Stellar network, making it available on three networks. This move is expected to boost European remittance channels, cross-border payments, treasury management, and aid disbursement. Circle and Stellar have announced their collaboration to integrate the EURC stablecoin into Stellar's blockchain. The EURC stablecoin is currently available on Ethereum and Avalanche blockchains and will now be live on the Stellar Network. The current market value of EURC is $52.31 million, with a 24-hour trading volume of $1.14 million.
