Circle, a global fintech company, has announced the launch of native USDC tokens on Polygon, an Ethereum layer-2 solution. This move comes as support for bridged USDC.e tokens is set to end on November 10th. Circle has also partnered with Philippine fintech company Coins ph to promote USDC-denominated remittances as a secure and low-cost alternative for international remittances. This partnership supports the United Nations' goal of reducing transaction costs for migrant remittances to less than 3%. Circle aims to help people in Asia easily send cross-border payments, starting with a remittance initiative in the Philippines. Additionally, Circle has announced an ERC-20 app that offers more payment options for NFTs, including seamless integration with USDC and support for other ERC-20 tokens as payment methods.
