Institutional investors are showing a strong preference for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) over altcoins, according to research from Bybit. The report indicates that half of the asset portfolio of institutional users was allocated to BTC, with stablecoins holding the highest proportion. Retail investors had the lowest proportion of BTC. ByBit also notes a 'flight' of institutional investors from BTC and ETH to stablecoins, although it may not be long-lasting.
