BlackRock's newly introduced spot Bitcoin ETF, trading under the ticker IBIT, is reportedly attracting a diverse group of investors, including retail and self-directed investors, as well as those new to the cryptocurrency asset class. Rachel Aguirre, BlackRock's Head of US iShares Product, highlighted the interest from newcomers to the crypto space. The ETF has become the second-largest US spot Bitcoin ETF. Furthermore, the NYSE has submitted a 19b-4 form to the SEC for the listing and trading of options on Commodity-Based Trust Shares, commonly associated with spot Bitcoin ETFs. The SEC has also opened a comment period on a proposal that would permit options trading on BlackRock's spot Bitcoin ETF.
