Since their launch on January 11, 2024, BlackRock and Fidelity's spot Bitcoin ETFs have attracted significant capital inflows, with BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) becoming one of the top five ETFs of 2024 based on inflows. These ETFs are outpacing Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) in liquidity, as reported by JPMorgan, with a market breadth four times higher and closing prices that more closely track actual Bitcoin value. Despite a slow day with only $33 million inflows into Bitcoin ETFs and $73 million outflows from GBTC, the net inflows into Bitcoin ETFs have been positive, reaching $145 million on February 7th. Grayscale has seen a decrease in Bitcoin holdings, while the new ETFs have added to their positions, with BlackRock adding 1,048 BTC and Fidelity 900 BTC. This trend is seen as bullish by analysts, with the ETFs now controlling over 3% of the total Bitcoin supply. The inflows into the ETFs have been substantial, with over $1.55 billion attracted since their inception, including $2.7 billion to BlackRock and $2.3 billion to Fidelity. Grayscale's outflows have been trending down, while inflows into the new ETFs have been consistent, even reaching new highs in total Bitcoin held. The spot Bitcoin ETFs have bought 194 days worth of supply, offset by Grayscale selling 141,000 Bitcoin.
