Avalanche is making significant strides with the introduction of ACP-77, a community proposal aimed at decoupling subnet validator sets from the main network. This initiative is expected to lower barriers for builders and reinvent the framework for building an L1 on Avalanche, making it as cost-effective as operating a Celestia-based rollup. The Avalanche community anticipates that these changes will make it easier and cheaper to launch custom chains, potentially positioning Avalanche as a central hub for appchains. Subnet-only validators are a key component of this proposal. EffortCapital's analysis highlights the potential of ACP-77, and projects like SuzakuNetwork are already planning to build on Avalanche.
Just read through this great article from @EffortCapital TL;DR ACP-77 makes Avalanche one of the best places to launch your sovereign network (hence why we are building @SuzakuNetwork) The only points that isn’t fair here is the comparison between @cosmos Zones using ICS and… https://t.co/VmhC4OENsE
Optimism chains collecting another decentralization pie slice...bullish. The critics were wrong again. L2's are decentralizing. https://t.co/M0yoDYVbj4 https://t.co/5sqAJY39zB
Congrats to the Optimism team for shipping fraud proofs! Ethereum's rollup-centric roadmap is all coming together... https://t.co/z5nwGDVL6D
i believe there will be competitive market forces which push L2s towards decentralization today is an example of this Arbitrum, and now Optimism congrats, and keep building 🫡 https://t.co/jILFB7eQMo
⚡️Decentralization decentralization decentralization.. 🔀 that's what our new governance proposal is all about! We're expanding the validator set for #liquidstaking to make things more secure, performant & #decentralized. 💪 Key deets: - 10 new validators (5 pros, 5 community)… https://t.co/cQNk40xWA0
ACP-77 is a community proposal that aims to decouple subnet validator sets from the main network, lower the barriers for builders and re-invent the framework for building an L1 on Avalanche. It's time to vote on the LST Governance Proposal! If approved, it will create a community-driven process to onboard liquid staking protocols & pair them with sequencer nodes, furthering our decentralization & bringing more economic security. Avalanche has always been built around the idea of multiple chains, growing in parallel, working as one. The latest changes coming with ACP-77 make it even easier and cheaper to launch custom chains. https://t.co/Ai1ScvtjBB
IMO Avalanche is by the far the most under the radar large cap crypto asset. It’s about to become appchain central with ACP 77 https://t.co/Gz8hqbbXvz
New ACP-77 research coming out of the @blockworksres showing it will be as cost-effective as Celestia-based rollups. If you want a teaser for how much a Subnet Validator will cost, read the full report :) s/o @EffortCapital for the in-depth analysis ❤️ https://t.co/1Oi5UwclsU
Reinventing @AVAX Subnets. With the competition of dedicated blockchain solutions heating up, the Avalanche community is proposing a structural change in how Subnets launch. Potentially making them as cost-effective as operating a Celestia-based rollup. What is ACP-77? 🧵
The @AvaLabs engineering team is committed to large validator sets. Check out the latest consensus research from @_patrickogrady and co 👇🏾 https://t.co/vxZYyMhQtS
Buckle up, Metisians. We have an exciting few weeks ahead of us as we begin moving toward the next phase of our Decentralized Sequencer Upgrade ⚡️ Make sure to review our latest LST Protocols Governance proposal 👇 https://t.co/rN2a2bLKJJ
No single chain can serve the entire world. The world wants many chains, for control and customization. Chain fragmentation is inevitable. The question isn't many L2s vs. one highly scalable L1. It's many L2s vs. many alt L1s. And many alt L1s is worse for users and operators.
Execution environments are a dime a dozen. Anyone can spin up a chain. Decentralization, security, synchronous composability, "moneyness," network effects -- very few are capable of this. When you frame it this way, unclear why anyone would want to compete on L1 🤷♂️
✍️ @Optimism is playing the innovator's dilemma card to its advantage. @coinbase = users, assets, trusted brand, crypto-savvy team --> no real hurdles to build a general-purpose L2. But what can't Coinbase do as easily? 1) Leverage a native token to incentivize growth… https://t.co/beulFWjc2c
Why wasn't it obvious from day one that Solana needs L2s? Anyone who entered the space after 2014 should have realized that L2s are inevitable, what went wrong?
Imagine you’re someone who is deeply serious about building an L2 layer You wanna build a cool, efficient, chain for consumer applications Games, defi or whatever else Why would you not simply settle on Bitcoin, with long term mindset? Not even interested in L2s rn fwiw
