Recent discussions have centered around the decision by Hur not to charge Biden with willfully retaining national defense information, citing Biden's memory problems and using the "feeble-minded idiot" defense as a significant factor. Critics argue that this rationale undermines Biden's presidential ambitions and suggests a feeble-minded defense, serving as Biden's escape from prosecution. The debate intensifies with accusations that Biden lied during his press conference, with the alternative being that he genuinely couldn't remember, which would support Hur's point about his memory issues. Furthermore, there's contention over Hur's assertion that he could have charged Biden if he wanted to, despite Biden's diminished mental capacity, even explaining his rationale to a Congressman. Meanwhile, some Democrats argue that Hur concluded there was insufficient evidence to charge Biden, omitting that the insufficiency stemmed from Biden's inability to show intent due to mental diminishment.
Democrats keep saying Hur concluded there was insufficient evidence to charge Biden. Kind of true. But… They leave out the reason the evidence was insufficient: Biden is too mentally diminished to show intent. Evidence of a criminal act? Proven. Evidence Biden is coherent…
Wow. Just wow. Hur is still pretending he could've ever charged Biden with a felony crime if he'd wanted to. Wow. He's now "explaining" to a Congressman why, thinking as a prosecutor, he decided not to charge because of Biden's diminished mental capacity.
Important point -- Biden lied during his press conference. The alternative explanation is he couldn't remember, which proves Hur's point about his memory problems. https://t.co/TKmmx3IYAl
Once again, if you say Hur LIED about Biden's memory problems, you raise the question of why, then, Hur declined to bring a case against Biden if he had evidence Biden had wilfully taken classified info. The memory problems were Biden's escape from prosecution!
So far, it would appear that Hur is using the "feeble-minded idiot" defense to rationalize not charging Biden for willfully retaining national defense information. Of course this does not play well with Biden's presidential ambitions.
