Dexter Taylor was found guilty of making his own firearms, known as 'ghost guns', which are prohibited in his city. The jury convicted him, and he was immediately taken into custody. Taylor, who has no prior criminal record, legally purchased gun parts and assembled them himself. He now faces many years in prison. His sentencing is scheduled for May 13th, and he will remain in Rikers Island until then. Supporters are rallying around Taylor, with a GiveSendGo campaign set up to aid him.
