Multiple Democratic lawmakers from Connecticut reported receiving bomb threats and swatting incidents at their homes on Thanksgiving Day. The threats included detailed descriptions of pipe bombs placed in mailboxes and were reportedly signed with 'MAGA' at the end of the messages. Law enforcement officials investigated, but no explosives were found. The targeted lawmakers include Sen. Chris Murphy, Reps. Jim Himes, Jahana Hayes, Joe Courtney, John Larson, Rosa DeLauro, Rep. Seth Magaziner, and Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse from Rhode Island. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries condemned the threats, calling them unacceptable and urging for maximum protection for all members and their families. President Joe Biden stated that his administration is working with the FBI to address the threats against lawmakers.
