Law enforcement agencies across several states have reported multiple arrests and indictments related to child pornography and child sexual abuse materials in recent days.
In Gilbert, Arizona, a U.S. Customs & Border Protection agent, identified as 40-year-old Jason Michael Drown, was arrested on April 8, 2025, and faces 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. The arrest followed a joint investigation involving Homeland Security Investigations and the Gilbert Police Department, with support from the DHS Office of Inspector General. Authorities allege Drown downloaded and shared child pornography using peer-to-peer software. At the time of his arrest, a Dell desktop computer and other devices were seized for forensic analysis. Drown denied sharing child pornography in a post-arrest statement and is being held on a $150,000 bond. The U.S. Customs & Border Protection released a statement noting the incident is under review by the agency's Office of Professional Responsibility and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
In Amarillo, Texas, Nicholas Davis, 23, was indicted on April 16, 2025, for possession of child pornography involving a child younger than 10, tampering with physical evidence, and online solicitation of a minor. Davis was arrested after police served a search warrant at his home in the 2500 block of Stardust Lane, where they found between 100 and 500 images of child pornography. Police said Davis tried to hide his cell phone and admitted to attempting to solicit a minor.
Additional arrests were reported in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Orange County, California; Mariposa County, California, where a 58-year-old man was found with over 800,000 images and 14,000 videos of child sexual abuse materials; and Albuquerque, New Mexico, where a suspected serial child rapist was taken into custody. In South Dakota, a convicted child abuser faces new charges.
In Tempe, Arizona, police are searching for a suspect accused of displaying child pornography along a canal.
