89-Year-Old Man Found Unconscious in Los Altos After Assault with Deadly Weapon

An 89-year-old man was found unconscious with life-threatening head injuries near railroad tracks in Los Altos. The incident occurred in the area of Foothill Expressway and I-280 between Homestead and Cristo Rey Drive on September 16th, between 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Los Altos Police Department is seeking leads and surveillance video from the public to help solve the case. The victim has been stabilized but remains in critical condition. Authorities are treating the incident as an assault with a deadly weapon.
