A powerful storm is causing record-breaking low barometric pressure in the Southeastern United States. The storm is expected to set numerous pressure records for the month of December in the region, with some areas experiencing pressure below 990 mb. Myrtle Beach has already broken the record with a pressure of 992 mb, surpassing the previous record set in 1942. Additionally, Charlotte has experienced record rainfall on December 17th, with 1.44 inches so far, surpassing the old record set in 1888.
