The Carolinas are bracing for severe thunderstorms on Friday as a strong cold front moves through the region. The National Weather Service has issued severe thunderstorm warnings for several areas, including Newton and Lincolnton in North Carolina. The storms are expected to produce heavy rain, strong winds, and possibly hail. The threat of severe weather will continue into the evening, with additional storms possible. After the storms pass, a dry and pleasant weekend is forecasted for the region.
