The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for parts of southeastern North Carolina. The storms are capable of producing wind gusts exceeding 58 mph and small hail. Additionally, the NWS has issued Severe Thunderstorm Warnings for several areas in South Carolina, including Bladen, Columbus, Holly Hill, Eutawville, Vance, Orangeburg, Clarendon, Summerton, and Jordan. These warnings indicate radar-detected wind speeds of up to 60 mph and hail sizes ranging from 0.75 to 1 inch. A thunderstorm southeast of Jamestown is also producing heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds up to 55 mph. Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay alert and monitor weather updates.
