A series of atmospheric river systems are expected to bring heavy rainfall and mountain snow to the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia. The wet weather pattern is already impacting the region, with several rounds of moderate to locally heavy rain. Water vapor imagery from NOAA's GOES-West satellite shows the atmospheric river pushing into the western US. The storm is expected to continue over the next couple of days, with unsettled weather and high-elevation snow in the northern Rockies. Two more fronts are forecasted to move through the Pacific Northwest, bringing heavy rain, gusty winds, and the potential for flooding and wind damage.
