The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has warned of a potential derecho in Kansas with extreme gusts exceeding 100 MPH. An intense MCS/Derecho is expected to sweep across Kansas with wind gusts up to 80-100 mph and a tornado threat. Destructive winds of 60 to 85 mph, large hail, and tornadoes are possible in central and south central Kansas. The storms in Kansas have shown potential for damaging winds of 70+ mph.
