The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center (NWSSPC) has issued an Enhanced risk of severe storms, including potential for a few tornadoes, in southeast Texas on 11/30. The strongest storms are expected from late morning through midafternoon. Meteorologists and storm chasers have highlighted the possibility of damaging winds and hail. The severe weather threat is conditional on whether supercells can develop in the warm sector. A slight risk area shift has been observed, with the greatest tornado threat in SE Texas, mainly from east of Austin into Greater Houston, and possibly extreme SW Louisiana. The risk extends into southern Louisiana and parts of East/North Texas and southern Oklahoma. A Tornado Watch is possible along the Texas/Louisiana Gulf Coast as the slight risk remains in place. The tornado threat is increasing over SE Louisiana and the MS Gulf Coast as we go into the late evening hours.

There remains a low-end risk of an isolated #tornado across Southeast Texas, including #Houston. Instability, or juice, is lacking to get the big storms, however. Much of it has been usurped by thunderstorms offshore to the south. https://t.co/ZuSmI0ZVt6
