Ski resorts in the Southeast, including Cataloochee, Sugar Mtn, and App Ski Mountain, have started their ski season with the help of snow-making machines. Several inches of snow already cover the slopes, and more resorts are set to open this weekend due to favorable temperatures for snow production. Mountain High has also announced its opening for the ski and snowboard season.
