The city has activated its emergency Level II response for flood control, with over 54,000 people evacuated and more than 400,000 residents affected. The China Meteorological Administration has raised the emergency response to rainstorms from Level III to Level II and issued a red alert for rainstorms, the highest level in the country's weather warning system. The State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters has also upgraded emergency responses to Level III in Zhejiang, Anhui, and Jiangxi provinces. Rescue teams, including over 300 PLA officers and soldiers, have been deployed to aid in relief efforts. As of June 20, 10,900 people had been relocated urgently.
