The EU's sanctions chief has emphasized the priority of addressing Russia's shadow shipping fleet and equipping themselves to sanction vessels. The new focus is on financial institutions that support the flow of military products to Russia and goods produced by Western subsidiaries in Southeast Asia. Sanctions have pushed Russia into an unhealthy situation, but they are not a magic bullet. Meanwhile, Hungary's Foreign Minister has criticized EU sanctions, stating they are not working and emphasizing Hungary's interest in developing economic cooperation with Russia. He also noted that Russian gas shipments via Turkstream reached 5.3 billion cubic metres this year. Additionally, Russia's Gazprom and CNPC have agreed to reach maximum daily gas supplies to China ahead of schedule, with the Power of Siberia pipeline expected to hit 38 bcm capacity by 2024.
