BT, a UK telecom company, missed the government's deadline to remove Huawei equipment from its core network. BT stated that 99% of its UK core traffic is now served by non-Huawei equipment, but this still falls short of the deadline. The company's failure to meet the deadline risks government fines. The use of subsea data pipes for intercontinental internet traffic is highlighted, with one individual noting their significant data usage, including 12.97TB from Starlink and 1.5TB from MTN, as well as random data subscriptions.

I used roughly 14.47TB of data this year. Wild. 1.5TB - MTN 12.97TB - Starlink This doesn’t account for random data subscriptions I do when I have to go out. (Rarely) Those ones are entirely <100GB.
